Work-based Learning and Industry Alignment

The Child Development Pathway integrates Work-Based Learning as a central component of instruction. Students participate in hands-on experiences within the TAPP Childcare Program, allowing them to develop technical and professional skills in an authentic early childhood setting.

This approach aligns with Strong Workforce Program priorities by:

  • Providing students with direct exposure to industry-relevant experiences
  • Building career awareness and exploration
  • Developing transferable employability skills such as communication, collaboration, and responsibility
  • Supporting transitions to postsecondary education and career pathways
